I’m a big believer in the power of collaboration. When we share our knowledge, learn from others, and combine our unique talents, I believe we achieve greater things. There’s an alchemy that happens and we become more than the sum of our parts.
Every month I practice this in my own business by spending at least one day co-working with a bunch of brilliant small business owners who work locally to me in Central Scotland. I’ve missed the last few meet ups because of life curveballs, so it was especially lovely getting together again this month after a break.
We don’t see each other as competitors, although it would be easy to do so in some cases because there is definite overlap in the work that we do. Instead, we choose to combine our talents as collaborators.
Those I co-work with form an important part of the extended team of Progress Partners, so let me introduce you to the brilliant people I work alongside once a month ish, and that you might meet along the way when you work with us.
Rebecca Maxwell is a kind and insightful business strategist with an incredibly impressive track record as an inspiring leader. She’s also the visionary leader that brought us together from a group of familiar faces met at networking events to a close knit, supportive group of colleagues and collaborators. Connecting people and ideas is one of Rebecca’s superpowers.
Susi Sinclair is a super talented creative strategist, brand designer and storyteller who uses design to convey meaning in a way that is both rare and vital. Her work is varied and complex, capturing and communicating the very essence of the individuals and brands she works with. Such is Susi’s talent that she makes it look easy but it really is not!
Janis Bovaird Martinez is an amazing coach and leadership development specialist with an extensive background in HR that gives her an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of all things people and learning. Her wisdom, humour and love of learning are reflected in everything she does and make her a joy to be around.
Paula McMonagle is the best accountant I’ve worked with having redeemed her profession from some of the experiences I’ve had in the past! Paula has bags of experience and really knows her stuff. She makes the sometimes complex world of finance and accounting accessible and easier to understand, especially for small business owners.
Fiona Martin is a strategic HR leader with bags of experience supporting executive level leaders to get the best from their people. Fiona is a calming and warm presence, and as an experienced mediator, she doesn’t shy away from the tough stuff!
I’ve included links to their profiles on LinkedIn, so you can connect with these brilliant folks. I guarantee learning and inspiration awaits if you do, and possibly some delicious home baking if based nearby…
